Matteo, a full of life 31 years-old IT manager in Florence, is thriving at work thanks to his technical expertise and dedication. Known for his love of relaxed clothing—simple polos, loose trousers, and worn sneakers—Matteo found himself looking overly casual, even a bit juvenile, in professional settings. During our first interview, Matteo expressed his desire to maintain his love for comfort while projecting a more refined, professional image. I understood his need to strike a balance, creating a style that was as polished as it was comfortable. I went for crafted a vision centered on a capsule wardrobe that blended high-quality, versatile pieces with a sophisticated edge. As a good way to start a gentle makeover, I introduced him to Tercel and Modal blend garments. I wanted the soft, drapey and sophisticated look they convey, plus they are easy to care for!
In our first fitting, Matteo discovered clothing that felt luxurious but looked undeniably polished: lightweight chinos, fitted linen shirts, and tailored blazers in neutral tones. He found that these pieces, like a tailored blazer or a fine merino sweater, could enhance his look without sacrificing comfort. Gone were the loose polos and casual sneakers; now, Matteo’s wardrobe featured fitted shirts and even classic loafers that helped him look mature and professional. At first, I had to convince him to try on some loafers. After a few try, he enjoyed it ! I understand the comfort of a good sneaker but it’s all about balance !
